Zheng Huang

I call myself a “small to big” artist. More specifically, it is like drawing on a blank sheet of paper. Some people will draw a draft at the beginning and finish their work base on the sketch. I am in the opposite position: direct drawing without any planning. When I create enough content without thinking, those things I created will naturally fill up the entire empty paper.
My inspiration comes from “unique moments”. Walking on a square, I saw a pigeon stepping on another pigeon’s head to get a piece of bread; two pedestrians quarreling on the road, but they still maintained a social distance during the fight. In the nightmare last night I dreamed that I was crushed to death by an elevator. Those are what I call “unique moments” in life. All my art practice also starts here by capturing those moments.

Basically, my art = +story +memory+fun+aesthetics. Sometimes they are creepy and cute.
