I work through abstracting paradigms of observation and duration to emphasise the associated imperfections of translation. My practice aims to bring to light the relationship between language, painting and drawing.
Chiefly it is from isolated and nuanced aspects of the everyday, past and present that form a dynamic between the viewer and the author. In both a realised and insular method, a systematic approach through the first-hand engagement of the author, the everyday can be exploited by use of colour and shape. This language is equipped to highlight tensions within time which becomes the main informants of the second-hand experience of the viewer.
