Andrea Yurie Ando Yau

I’m Yurie. I’m from Brazil but moved to the UK more than 10 years ago. I have diverse experience working in graphic design, engineering and in the Embassy of Brazil and the Brazilian Army. Somehow, I was even awarded a Brazilian Navy medal.

Along this path through different fields, I questioned how I could combine my skills as an adaptable, creative and analytical problem solver. The International Management and Design Innovation MSc suited me perfectly and I was really happy to receive the Adam Smith Business School Excellence Scholarship (UK/EU).

The Glasgow School of Art and the Adam Smith Business School brought engaging content and encouraged socially conscious projects, whilst still grounded in business principles – precisely what I wanted to do.

So here it is my final project, researching Food Systems and proposing a solution to build an alternative food supply for Glasgow that is both scalable and applicable to other places.
